Capstone Project: Time Temperature Indicator for Food Spoilage

Our capstone project focuses on a time-temperature indicator (TTI) designed to show whether perishable food has been exposed to unsafe temperature conditions over time. The goal is to give food service providers, producers, and retailers a simple, visible way to assess cold-chain integrity and make faster decisions about product safety and quality. By using cumulative temperature exposure into an easy-to-read signal, the TTI could reduce spoilage-related waste, align quality incentives, and increase supply-chain accountability in the food lifecycle.
